New Haven’s 5th grade boys played consolation against Owensville in this afternoon’s tournament at New Haven High School.

The Shamrocks trailed by seven points after three quarters but these future Shamrocks displayed what it takes to be a winner.  Being outsized by Owensville did not prevent the scrappy Rocks from fighting their way back and giving themselves a chance to win.  Unfortunately, Owensville came out on top, preventing New Haven a comeback win, 27-25.

Even though the Shamrocks did not win, their will to win, never giving up, and playing with heart will end up carrying them a long way as they continue to grow into future Shamrock basketball players.
