New Haven German-American Club return from Borgholzhausen, Germany

Recently a group of thirty members of the New Haven German-American Club returned from a visit to Borgholzhausen, Germany, New Haven's sister city.

The group spent four days living with host families in Borgholzhausen. While in Borgholzhausen several  in the group were able to visit ancestral home sites and getting a chance to meet distant relatives.

After The Borgholzhausen visit the group completed a week long bus tour of southern Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.  The tour included guided tours in Luzern, Switzerland, Salzburg, Austria, and Munich, Germany.

Traveling in the group were Orville and Mary Ann Benz, Janeial Hemeyer, Roy Gerdes, Ray Gerdes, Joyce Steinbeck, Marian Hale, Joan and David Menke, Wanda Walkenhorst, David and Joyce Smith, Donald and Lucille Pohlmann, Glen Kamper, Howard Brune, Opal Beul, Laureen Rushing, Mary and Roger Morgan, Linda Meyer, Rosa and John Berger, Rowan Kloppe, Sandy Kolkebeck, Kathy and Eugene Scheer, Audrey Freitag, and Don and Pat Kappelmann.
