New Haven OBITUARY: August "Gus" Pehle (Oct. 3, 1936 - Dec. 11, 2011)

August "Gus" Pehle, 75, of New Haven, Mo., passed away on Sun., Dec. 11, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Pehle was born in Berger, Mo. on Oct. 13, 1936, the son of the late Edward and Lydia (Breckenkamp) Pehle.

He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in New Haven and the New Haven American Legion. August proudly served in the U.S. Army.
After serving his country he was a truck driver and drove for Pepsi, Bockting Trucking, and, Weber Construction and Heisel.

He is survived by a son Marvin Pehle of New Haven and a daughter Candace Compton & husband Deron of Washington, a step son Steve Angell & wife Linda of New Haven, three sisters Dorothy Guese & husband Robert of Auxvasse, Evelyn Baer of New Haven and Marlene Bockting of New Haven, two grandchildren Shane Pehle of New Haven and Kayla Compton of Washington, three step grandchildren Ashley Compton of Washington, Amanda Seitter of Washington and Leisha Angell of New Haven.
Visitation will be Friday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, Mo.

Memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in New Haven with Rev. David Poe officiating.
Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in New Haven.

Memorials may be given to American Diabetes Association or St. Peter's U.C.C. C/O Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home.
