Mildred M. Fleer, 93, of Stony Hill, Mo., passed away on Wed., Jun. 8, 2011 at the New Haven Care Center, New Haven, Mo.

Mrs. Fleer was born in Normandy, Mo. on Aug. 5, 1917, the daughter of the late Henry and Mabel (Lackner) Manshardt.

She was baptized Oct. 14, 1917 and grew up in Normandy and attended school there. Later the family moved to Leslie, Mo. She went to Gerald School then to Union, Mo. Her ambition was to be a teacher, which she accomplished. In 1943 she met Albert Fleer. They were married on Aug. 29, 1943 at Leslie. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. James Church Stony Hill, where she was a member of the Women's Guild. She taught school for four years at Cedar Grove a one room school in New Haven. She was also a homemaker and did a lot of gardening.

Visitation will be Friday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.

Funeral Services will be held at St. James Church, Stony Hill, at 11:00 a.m. on Sat., Jun. 11, with Rev. Tom Lloyd officiating.

Burial will be at St. James Cemetery, Stony Hill.
