Story by Kayla Oetterer

Ryan Menke is our senior of the week. Menke was chosen because of his academic achievements in the classroom and involvement in many extracurricular actives.

Menke has been a leader for his class, serving as class President since his freshmen year, as well as being a member of FBLA, FCA, Student Council, National Honor Society and the boy’s basketball team. Menke took time out of his busy schedule to answer a few questions about going to New Haven High School.

Q: What made you want to take on the role of class president?

Menke: I knew that the class was going to need someone to step up and take responsibility. I felt like I could handle the job and it has gone pretty good so far.

Q: Who has made the biggest impact on your life?

Menke: I don’t think just one individual has made an impact on my life. My family does impact my life in a positive way though!

Q: What part of this school year are you looking forward to most?

Menke: Definitely the senior trip! I can’t wait to see New York and Washington D.C.

Q: What’s your favorite memory of high school so far?

Menke: Last year’s basketball season was very memorable. We accomplished a lot and I will never forget the great times we had.

Q: What is your favorite color?

Menke: My favorite color would have to be powder blue. I love those old KC Royals Jerseys.

Q: What is your favorite hobby?

Menke: I enjoy playing all kinds of sports and just being active. I enjoy playing some video games every now and then as well.
