OBITUARY: Berger: Eugene R. Haberberger (June 22, 1926 - October 6, 2012)

Eugene R. Haberberger, 86, of Berger, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Missouri Veteran's Home, St. James, Missouri.

Mr. Haberberger was born in Villa Ridge, Missouri on June 22, 1926, the son of the late Casper and Alvina (Hanneken) Haberberger.

He was the husband of Georgine K. (Kuenzel) Haberberger. They were married June 4, 1955 at St. Frances Borgia Church, Washington, MO. Georgine survives in Berger.

Eugene is also survived by two children, a daughter Lauren LaBar & husband Paul of Fort Worth, Texas and a son Joe Haberberger & wife Ann of Fenton, Missouri, four grandchildren Heather Farney & husband Kramer of Manhatten, Kansas, Paul Robert LaBar of Fort Worth, Texas, Craig LaBar of Fort Worth and Kathryn Haberberger of Fenton.

He is preceded in death by his parents and by five brothers Lawrence, William, Anthony & Casper Haberberger.

He was a member of St. George Church, Hermann, Missouri. Eugene proudly served in the U.S. Army during the WWII. He was a lifetime member of the Hermann V.F.W. Post 4182 and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He worked at Taylor Excevating in St. Louis for 19 years as a diesel engineer.

A memorial mass will be at St. George Church, Hermann, Missouri at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10th, with Father Bill Debo officiating.
