OBITUARY: NEW HAVEN: Ada Annetta Groppe (March 20, 1917 - May 2, 2012)

Ada Annetta Groppe, 95, of New Haven, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012 at the New Haven Care Center.

Mrs. Groppe was born in New Haven, Mo. on March 20, 1917, and the daughter of the late Arthur and Annetta (Horn) Viedt.

She was the widow of Herbert William Groppe. They were married on June 4, 1944 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington, Mo. Ada’s husband preceded her in death in 1977.

Ada is survived by two daughters Patricia Brewer & husband Truman of New Haven and Kathleen Scheer & husband Eugene of New Haven, grandchildren, Deborah Bobbitt & husband David, Cheryl Gonzalez & husband Frank, Timothy Brewer, Richard Scheer & wife Cynthia, Gregory Scheer & wife Kara and Douglas Scheer & wife Christine, great grandchildren, Daniel Dumas, James Meyer & Justin Gonzalez, Brieanna Brewer, Elizabeth, Claire, Drew, Adam, Anna and Isabelle Scheer and great-great grandchildren Krystal, Corey & Cole Dumas and Delaney Meyer.

Her parents, her husband, a brother Allen Viedt and an infant sister precede her in death.

Ada was a member of the Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Port Hudson, Mo. where she a member of the ladies aid. She was also a member of the Missions Society and she was a housewife.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 3rd from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, Mo.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. from Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Port Hudson, Mo., with Rev. William Zastrow officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Washington, Mo.

Memorials may be given to Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Exceptional Equestrians of Missouri Valley or American Heart Association. C/O Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home.
