OBITUARY: NEW HAVEN: Eileen Slocum (June 29, 1935 - May 12th, 2012)

Mrs. Eileen Slocum, 76, of New Haven, Mo. passed away Saturday, May 12th, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Washington, Mo.

Mrs. Slocum was born in New Haven, Mo. on June 29, 1935, the daughter of the late Herbert and Blanche Irene (nee McKinney) Wolfe.

She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ New Haven, and the New Haven American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and talking with her friends.

Mrs. Slocum was a homemaker most of her life however she did work for a short time as a switchboard operator for the city on New Haven and Kellwood MFG.

She is survived by her children, son Terry Slocum and wife Janette of New Haven; daughter, Vicki Zastrow and husband Rick of New Haven; son, Tim Slocum of New Haven; two sisters Carol Mergelmeyer and husband Gerald of Washington; and Nancy Hickman-Wolfe of Fulton; by a granddaughter Nicole Durrer and husband Kyle of New Haven, grandson Kristopher Slocum and wife Trisha of Berger; granddaughter Jenna Slocum of New Haven; grandson Nick Slocum of New Haven, grandson Jeremy Zastrow of Mesa, Arizona; grandson Josh Zastrow and wife Casey of Washington, granddaughter Julie Zastrow of New Haven; granddaughter Sara Slocum of Marthesville.  She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, New Haven, Mo. at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16th, with Rev. Paul Koch officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in New Haven.

Interment will be at the New Haven Cemetery.
