Mrs. Ella C. Birkmann, 92, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at New Haven Care Center.

Mrs. Birkmann was born in Berger, Missouri on March 9, 1920, the daughter of the late Herman and Louise (Meyer) Scheible.

She was the wife of Milford Birkmann. They were married December 20, 1941 at Stony Hill, MO. Milford survives in New Haven.

Ella is also survived by a daughter Dorothy Frueh & husband Frank of Washington, Missouri, a son Harvey Birkmann & wife Dorothy of Union, Missouri, a daughter Peggy Scego of New Haven, Missouri, a sister Selma Bonnarens of New Haven, Missouri, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law Donald Scego, by four brothers Walter, Arthur, Herman and Elmer Scheible and four sisters Elsie Birkmann, Louise Kreftmeyer, Esther Stephan and Mathilda Scheible.

She started her working career at Missouri Mersham Pipe Factory in Washington. She then later drove a taxi-cab in Washington, after that she went to work at Langenberg Hat Factory in Berger where she retired from.

Visitation will be Friday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home,New Haven, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be held at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven, Missouri. at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6th, with Rev. Anne Chida officiating.

Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann, Missouri.
