Did you know that today is known as “Farmer’s Day”?  This day is generally observed to honor the hard labor of farmers; however Farmer’s Day should not only be celebrated by farmers.

Everyone should celebrate today because, in the words of the National FFA Organization, you would be “naked and hungry” without farmers.

Hard laboring farmers, young and old, are unquestionably deserving of this day of honor.  Throughout America, Farmer’s Day is celebrated in a variety of ways, from festivals to competitions; Farmer’s Day hosts traditions as old as our country.

Take time to thank a local farmer as well as reflect on and appreciate all they do for you, your family, and our country.
