Jefferson City, Mo – New Haven’s girls 4x800m relay, Hannah Pruessner, Hannah Kruse, Taylor Covington, and Beth Schenck, pick up the Shamrocks first All-State medals, finishing 5th out of 16 teams.

The team’s anchor, Taylor Convington said, “It felt good that we got a state medal, I was happy.”

Hannah Pruessner said, “Knowing we had won a state medal as freshmen was amazing.”

Michael Leath qualified in both the 100m and 400m yesterday, before injuring his right hamstring.  Today’s strategy is to jog the 100m and attempt to compete in the 400m.

After running the 100m Leath’s hopes of being able to run a competitive race is still unknown.  Leath is having his right thigh wrapped with a compression bandage, hoping that will help.  Regardless, Leath is guaranteed a state medal.

Michael Leath is awarded his eighth place medal for the 100m dash.
