When it begins to get cold outside, you can guarantee it is warm and toasty in basketball gyms around the area.  Monday was the start of R-2’s Annual B-Team girls and boys’ Basketball Tournament.

Tonight the Lady Husky’s easily knocked off Immaculate Conception 22-12 and advancing to play for consolation on Sat. at 9 a.m.

In the last quarter with seconds left, Chloe Tyree pulled down an offensive board and laid it in as time expired, giving R-2 a ten-point victory.

Throughout the rest of the week teams will be battling, in hopes of making it to the championship game on Saturday.  There will be plenty of basketball all day this coming Saturday at R-2 and aside from watching future all-star athletes, you are guaranteed to stay warm.
