Senior Abby Menke is very involved in all aspects of school at New Haven High. Menke’s life would not be the same without being involved in all the clubs and sports teams she participates in.

Menke is this year’s Student Council President and has been in STUCO all four years of high school.  She is also president of National Honor Society, which she has been a member of for three years now, and is Vice President of FBLA in which she has been active in all four years of high school.

Besides all of the clubs that Menke participates in, she also plays on the girl’s softball and basketball teams as well as managing the boy’s baseball team.  I sat with Menke and asked her a few questions about herself and these are some of the things she had to say.

Q:  What drove you to be the class of 2012 vice president?

Menke: I wanted to be there to help support President Ryan when he couldn’t handle something or just needed a hand.

Q: What teacher(s) do you feel have made the biggest impact on your life?

Menke: Mrs. Helling because she is a lot of fun, but also Mrs. Hoener because she helps make math a little more bearable.

Q: What is your favorite memory of High School so far?

Menke: Probably going to watch the boy’s basketball team play at sectionals and quarterfinals.

Q: What is one thing you will miss most about High School?

Menke: Being able to see all of my friends each and every day.

Q: What are you looking forward to most this year? Why?

Menke: Senior Trip, because it will be great. Our class is so much fun.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?

Menke: Hang out with all of my friends, go to the movies, and watch both the Cardinals and the Rams.

Q: What are your plans after High School?

Menke: Go to college and get my M.D.

Q: What celebrity do you find yourself to be most alike to? Why?

Menke: Beyonce, because I’m a great dancer and singer! Bahaha … Not really!
