Shamrock's Defense Holds Clopton to Six, Second-Half Points

New Haven turned up their defense in the second half, holding the Hawks to just six points and propelling the rocks into Sat. night’s championship game.

New Haven came out in the second half with a 25-21 led, outscoring Clopton 10-2 in the third quarter and setting the tone for the fourth quarter, holding the Hawks to just four points.

Three Shamrocks finished in double figures, Charlie Tritch had 14, Lance Gerlemann added 13, and Ryan Menke finished with 11, leading the rocks to a 40-27 win.

New Haven will play Mexico at 7:30 p.m. on Sat. in the Championship Game. QNHN will broadcast live play by play action from Montgomery High School.
