Faculty members who teach classes in more than two dozen programs related to biotechnology, business/accounting, chemical technology, computer information systems, culinary arts, education, graphic design and a variety of health care related fields will be on hand.  Instructors will also be available to discuss two new programs approved by the state this past year:  health information management and business, management and technology.

The Showcase provides an opportunity for the general public, especially potential students and their families, to find out more about ECC and the educational options available. Visitors can get information about all of the college’s credit programs, as well as short-term training options in certified nurse assistant, energy auditing and professional administrative assistant.

“The Showcase is designed for individuals to explore the opportunities available, whether coming from high school or as a returning adult learner who is between jobs or is underemployed,” noted Brenda Bouse, ECC’s vice president of career and outreach education.

ECC staff will be on hand to provide information on college costs and financial aid options.   Graduate! St. Louis Scholarships are currently available to returning adults age 23 or older in specific program areas or for those who need remedial coursework.

Attendees can also learn about the professional development opportunities and services and programs for businesses and industries which are coordinated by ECC’s Center for Workforce Development.

Individuals who are interested in serving as part-time instructors at ECC can visit with human resources at the Showcase to learn about employment opportunities with the college.
