Slick roads attribute to a car wreck and a Union school bus wreck

New Haven, Mo – At 5:30 a.m. roadways were clear, by 6:15 a.m. roadways were covered with a light patch of snow.  Snow amounts continue to increase as the winter storm moves across the area.

The almost instantly snow covered roads has already led to one vehicle accident in the area with school officials caught between a rock and a hard place.

The timing of this morning's snow has caused havoc all across the area.  A vehicle accident on Highway 100 and bus accident at Highway AJ and Timberlake Road have kept emergency crews busy most of the morning.

New Haven fire and EMS crews responded to the vehicle accident that occurred around 6:30 a.m. approximately 4 miles east of New Haven.  It is unknown the direction the vehicle was traveling; however the vehicle lost control, flipping over and into the ditch.  The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

We are waiting to hear back from school officials in regards to the bus accident.  Once we have spoken with school officials we will provide updated information.
