New Haven, Mo. - Saturday, New Haven’s Art District will host the 5th Annual Fire Fest in downtown New Haven, Mo.  This year the “Fire Fest Crazy Crew” has added a newly-featured display, a “Burring Man Sculpture” to coincide with the infamous “Burning House of Ice”.

Thursday we rode across the river with the “Crazy Crew” and were given exclusive access as they constructed a 30 foot tall “Man Sculpture” on the sandbar across from New Haven’s River Front.

Below is time lapsed video we created as they erected the mammoth beast sculpture wrapped in straw, which they will attempt to light up in flames Saturday night.

Fire Fest will kick off at 12 p.m. with a parade followed by activities for kids, a wide array of food, and crafts.  More about this free, family fun event and the statewide attention this one of a kind event has attracted is available here: Fire Fest Information
