This afternoon, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a three car accident occurred .3 miles east of Highway EE on Highway 50, east of Beaufort. 


Katie Babb, 20, of Beaufort was stopped in eastbound traffic when her 2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara was rear ended by a 1999 International 4700 truck driven by Bryce Monroig, 21, of Washington, which was then rear ended by Bradley Bolte, 20, of St. Louis in a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix.  

Babb was taken to Mercy Hospital in Creve Cour by Union Ambulance with moderate injuries.  All three drivers were wearing their seatbelts.  Babb's vehicle was totaled, while Monroig's vehicle received moderate damage, and Bolte's received minor damage.
