Truck overturns causing fuel to leak on highway

Truck overturned on Highway VV after attempting to make a right turn off of Highway 100.

Berger, Mo – Wednesday morning at 9:56 a.m. New Haven/Berger Fire Crews responded to the intersection of Highway VV and Highway 100 for fuel leaking from an overturned truck.

According to the driver he was traveling east on Highway 100.  While making a right turn onto Highway VV his truck overturned, landing on the driver side, causing fuel to begin leaking onto the roadway.

Hermann EMS responded however, the driver refused medical treatment.  The driver told QNHN that he thinks his shoulder may be dislocated.  He did state that after the tow truck arrived he would go to the hospital.

Firefighters used oil dry to clean off the roadway.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the exact cause.
