A pick-up truck being driven south on Hwy. 19 at the sharp bend at Frene Creek Rd. lost control and spun-out on wet pavement late in the 1:00 o'clock hour today.  The pick-up truck driver told CNL he was unsure what happened after that, but the front of driver-side of the truck hit the front driver-side of the oncoming sports car.  The pick-up truck stayed on the roadway, while the sports car ran off the roadway and down a steep embankment, coming to rest in heavy brush at the edge of a wooded area.  The car was so deep in the brush that it was almost not visible from the roadway.

Four patients -- one from the truck and three from the car -- were checked-out by Hermann EMS personnel.  One was transported to a local hospital in an ambulance.

The scene was also worked by the Gasconade County Sheriff's Department, Hagedorn Collision, and briefly by the Hermann Area Volunteer Fire Department.
